Welcome to my blog!

Hi! I'm Jen Hair. As a professional photographer in the North Texas area for the past 4 years, I’ve had the great pleasure of working with some fantastic families – and I am very excited to add yours to that list!

I love documenting lives through photography – capturing families as they do their own thing – preserving their uniqueness for generations to come. After my first son was born I tried a few photography studios around town. I didn’t want just pictures – I wanted a snapshot of who he was at that stage in his life –to capture his spirit. I was never happy with the "canned" and staged photos – I felt that I could do a better job.

Nothing about your photo shoot will be posed or forced! I'll be there to capture you as you are and not to impose my idea or vision on your session. All shoots will be at the location of your choice - your home, backyard, favorite park or special place. I do have a number of favorite locations in the area too, in case you'd like to try one.

My professional background prior to photography includes over 15 years with the American Red Cross in disaster response and preparedness training. I was born and raised in Northern Indiana, and have lived in North Texas for the past 15 years. I married a native Texan, and we have two sons. As a family we enjoy traveling, sailing, camping and fishing together. I also enjoy reading, cooking and taking photos. I look forward to meeting you!
